Summer Essentials

I've been recently rounding up my summer collection. Most of the stuff I'm going to share with you I already have and the rest I desperately need of course! These are great affordable ideas to add to your summer wardrobe and entertaining collection.

From: ASOS

I have been on a hunt for an everyday necklace and I accidentally stumbled onto this beauty. I got it in the mail last week and am in love with it!

From: Target
I saw these and had to have them! I got them in neon yellow and royal blue. Fun for the pool and errand running!

From: Wrapables.com

I purchased these a few years ago and have never regretted it! They are adorable ice cream bowls, great for guests or kids.

From: Target

These are my new pool sunglasses! I got the neon pink/orange ones and can not wait to use them!

From: Urban Outfitters

This bracelet is fabulous! It's only $16.00 but they don't offer every name. Mine unfortunately is not offered, but they have been adding names over the past week or so. If your name is offered I suggest getting it ASAP!

From: Nordstroms

Colored denim cut offs, yes please! This is the colored skinny for summer! They have some at Forever 21 that are much cheaper and come in fun summer colors.

From: Target

Everyone needs a great pool bag and this neon tote is bound to get a few compliments.

From: Etsy
If your going to be entertaining you need some playful drinking glasses! Since mustaches are so popular right now these glasses would make a great addition to your summer collection.

Now that we've got our neon, entertaining and basic accessory items taken care of we are well on our way to having that perfect Summer collection. Be inspired and create!

Piecing It Together: Summer Looks

With Summer coming very soon and Spring around the corner I thought I would piece a couple outfits out for you. Normally I would find an inspiration picture and "copy cat" it, but this time I put the looks together myself. I did two looks, one pretty casual and the other a little more dressy I love them both and am very excited to share them with you, so lets see what we've got!

Cute and Casual
For this look I found this incredible scarf and based the rest of my pieces off of it. Within this look we cover two hot trends, tribal and color blocking.

From: Urban Outfitters

In love with this tribal scarf. The print, colors and fringe are work well to make one great piece.

From: Forever 21

Since our scarf provides an eye popping pattern I picked a simple light weight tank. The color blocking of black and ivory adds just enough character from being to boring.

From: Pacsun

I love cut off shorts and am thinking this will be a big trend this summer, in all colors. The cut off short keeps the look casual and adds an edgy flare.

From: ASOS
Love these ankle wrap sandals! The shoe pulls our whole look together. We could have gone too simple here, but the detail around the ankle keeps the look from going flat.
From: Forever 21

To top off our look choose a simple gold and black earring, a solid feather, or simple colored stud.

Girls Night Out
This look would be great for a fun girls night out. I'm very excited about the shoe I have picked out, it's a show stopper!

From: Dorothy Perkins

I love light chiffon tops! This one has great details in the sleeves and buttons.

From: Forever 21

You can choose whatever color skinnies, but for our look I chose coral. A pop of color can never be a bad thing.

Here they are, these shoes top this look! We've got a solid top, colored bottom and a pattern heel.

From H&M
To pull the look together add a solid gold statement necklace. I am obsessed with this one from H&M.

From: Forever 21

Since we have a large necklace, I stuck with a simple gold and diamond stud.

Two great looks to add to your summer wardrobe! I hope you liked them, I'd  love to hear your thoughts. Be inspired and create!

Easter Inspiration

Easter, a great introduction to Spring time! The soft color palette tells the whole story. The whites and ivories, pastel blues, yellows, pinks and greens put you in the mood for a new season. Easy areas of your home to decorate are your mantel, dining table, entry ways and accent areas. Here are a few cute ideas to get your started.

Easter Decorating Inspiration

Using clear vases is a great way to display decorative eggs. In this example they are have used an ivory and taupe with a country blue and taupe. The speckled detail gives a chic country feel.

With Easter comes Peeps and Jelly Beans of course, why not use them to jazz up a floral arrangement. I love tulips and the bright coral looks great with the yellow and orange candies.

I love these eggs! These are a great decorative filler to any decorative bowl. Any color would look fabulous.

Moss balls and an ivory tree topiary. This would look great on an entry way table, the looks keeps things classy and elegant.

I love white decor. These white ceramic rabbits and vases create a clean and vintage feel. Add a touch of color with brown and pink twigs.

Love this whole look! Grab a vintage tray, fresh flowers and white eggs. This is a great piece to put on your coffee table!

Glitz it up with some metallic eggs! Just use metallic spray paint and fill them in a vase or bowl.

This is so cute for those that have kids! Send them to school with your little ones.

These are a great idea for Easter baskets! These are a sturdy basket with metal frame that are reusable for toys or books. Get them at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SewingASeed

Easter Dress Inspiration

Love the solid top and lace bottom. Very light and fresh!

Coral lace top dress, add some mint pumps for extra cuteness!

This is a sweet and simple dress. Love this color, would look great with some nude heels.

We've got about a month before Easter, get to decorating if you haven't started! Be inspired and create!
