TREND ALERT: Color Blocking

Why hello there bold and beautiful. Color is a happening thing this year, the more the merrier! I personally love color, but some people tend to be afraid of making too much of a statement. You can add subtle accents with a clutch or shoe, you don't have to go all the way like in our inspiration piece below. I found some fabulous examples of color blocking from various retailers. Take a look and see whats poppin.

Yellow and teal go together like peanut butter and jelly. These two colors compliment each other so well. This little dress is perfect for date night. The emphasis on the waist will really compliment your shape. I say go for it!

Aside from color blocking stripes are always a go to trend. This loose fit top is accentuated with a boat neckline and large suede patch. If you are liking the pattern, it also comes in a maxi dress and extra long tank.

So I saw this dress in person at Dillard's and it is way better looking in person than in this picture! Loving the cinched waist and pockets! Everyone loves pockets!

Tank tops are a summer essential. This tank has a high low structure, higher in the front and lower in the back. Simple, fresh, chic!

Love this look, love these colors! You can grab a blazer anywhere right now, but this one is one of my favorites for the time being. I love the tan and ivory color block, especially paired with that aqua dress. A little spin on the old blazer.

Colorful shoes make great accent pieces. If you have a hard time choosing once accent color, here is your solution! Two in one, a great purple and a great blue.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love brown and black! In this case it's a little bit more camel, but that works too. This suede platform will make any outfit look cute.
As much as I love heels, flats are a necessity. Easy on the go, casual, comfortable style. Love these color blocked flats from modcloth. They should easily dress up any look your pulling together.

If you are a little afraid of too much color, you can still stay trendy! This perfect black and white color block bag is a beaut! It has a leather look fabric and cross body style. Yes please!

Who doesn't need a colorful clutch? This is actually quite subtle. A soft green and blue paired with an elephant grey, sure to add an accent while keeping the attention all on you!

Be bold be bright! Be inspired and create!
